The Nintendo Entertainment Podcast is here! And fighting games are on the menu as the guys have a LOT to talk about with that genre!

First up, the guys talk about the games they’ve been playing. Todd laments the arrival of a certain dragon king in Fire Emblem Heroes. Tyler talks playing the indie game Hades as well as Super Mario 35 and playing the original Final Fantasy VII! Will talks Ring Fit Adventure, Season 2 of Fall Guys, and more!

Next up, in the news, the guys talk about the reaction to Minecraft’s Steve’s moveset that was recently revealed, as well as Mojang being happy that their characters are in the game. The Monster Hunter Rise team reveal how long they’ve been making the game. Hyrule Warriors and Pikmin 3 Deluxe got the Nintendo Treehouse treatment. Mortal Kombat 11 is getting MORE DLC…including Rambo!

Finally, in the main event, fighting games seem to be going for BIG REACHES when it comes to bring in new exciting DLC characters. But are they trying too hard? Where is the line with these fighting game franchises? The guys discuss!

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast!

Plus, vote in our poll question! Which fighting game franchise reached a little too far with their 3rd party character inclusions?

Don’t forget that we want YOUR suggestions for opening themes for future episodes of the podcast!
