The first three games in the long-running JRPG series Dragon Quest are heading to the Nintendo Switch next week. Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation will hit the Nintendo eShop on September 27, the same day Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition releases on Switch.

Find out where it all began – the first three #DragonQuest games are coming to North America, and for the first time on console in Europe, on #NintendoSwitch!

Dragon Quest has been enjoying a resurgence here in the west following the release of Dragon Quest XI, which marked the first time the series had been available on a console in the western world since Dragon Quest VIII on PlayStation 2. Since then, tons of people have been experiencing this franchise for the first time, and Dragon Quest has finally gotten a representative in Smash alongside an upcoming port of XI for Nintendo Switch.

Now, with the first three games in the series being released digitally, it won’t be hard for people to see how this monumental franchise got its start. The games won’t break the bank either, with Dragon Quest being priced at $5, Dragon Quest II being priced at $7.50, and Dragon Quest III being priced at $12.50.

Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II, and Dragon Quest III will launch on Nintendo Switch on September 27. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition will be available on the same day.

When he's not playing video games, Diego's talking about video games, and he does both a lot.
