E3 2019: Zelda Spinoff Cadence of Hyrule Launches on June 13

The rhythm-based Zelda spinoff Cadence of Hyrule will find its way onto Nintendo Switch very soon.

From the creator of Crypt of the Necrodancer, Cadence of Hyrule sees players fighting their way through a randomly generated Hyrule to the beat of the music as Cadence, Zelda, or Link. The game features a ton of remixed tracks from the Legend of Zelda series, including songs from the upcoming Link’s Awakening.

What sets Cadence of Hyrule apart from other spinoffs is the fact that it’s not developed by Nintendo. Nintendo has entrusted Brace Yourself Games, the team behind Necrodancer, with the Zelda IP, which has been unprecedented until now. It looks like Brace Yourself was the right choice though, because Cadence of Hyrule is shaping up to be a great game worthy of the license.

Cadence of Hyrule will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch on June 13, 2019.

When he's not playing video games, Diego's talking about video games, and he does both a lot.
