‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 8 Trailer Officially Released

By Todd BlackMarch 5, 2019
Game of Thrones Season 8 Trailer Game of Thrones Season 8 Premiere Review

“You either win, or you die.” Those chilling words from Season 1 of Game of Thrones helped set the standard for all that was to come. The battle for the Iron Throne has claimed many lives, and now, with the army of the dead marching on the North, and King’s Landing preparing for war in the South, the death toll is no doubt going to get much, much higher. And to prove this, the first Game Of Thrones season 8 trailer has arrived to show just how dark things are going to get.

For the most part, the trailer focuses on the North, where Jon Snow (who’s not exactly a Jon or a Snow…) Daenerys Targaryen, Arya and Sansa Stark, and the rest of their allies gather in Winterfell in order to prepare for the arrival of the Night King and his army. We see teases of a major battle, one that sources say will be the longest battle sequence in the history of cinema (both movies and TV).

We also get a tease that things aren’t going to go as planned, because Arya Stark is seen in the halls of Winterfell running for her life, and very much afraid. Something Arya Stark doesn’t get anymore…or so we thought.

Then, there’s Cersei Lannister, who is sitting comfortably in King’s Landing waiting for the war to come to her. And she’s not alone, because we got the first tease of the Golden Army sailing towards her in Euron Greyjoy’s ships.

The Game Of Thrones Season 8 Trailer teases many things, but how many of them will come as we expect them to? How many people will die before the season is over? Or, like the teaser posers hinted, will night fall forever?

We’ll find out when the season arrives on April 14th.
