Jade Is The Next Reveal For The Mortal Kombat 11 Roster

By Keith MitchellFebruary 14, 2019

Jade, a stable of the Mortal Kombat universe who met her demise in Mortal Kombat 9 is back. This time as an undead revenant – We have Sindel to thank for that.

However, it’s going to be interesting to see what sort of role she’ll play in Mortal Kombat 11. With Quan Chi, I’m starting to wonder who she’ll be serving. Will she be able to think on her own, or will see serve a new master? I suppose we’ll find out once the game gets released.

Thanks to the recent stream, we can see the revived Jade in action. She’s definitely fast, she’s always been. But now she can even warp (check out her fatality)? Her weapon of choice also hasn’t changed, as she returns with staff in hand. A great weapon for close distance, while being quite deadly up close as well. She’s even got a move that reminds me of a certain character from the SoulCalibur series.

Now that we’ve seen Jade’s reveal, I’m starting to wonder if we’ll see Sindel next. I’d love to see a reunion with Jade on the other side of the beat down. Oh, and did you see the background on the stage she’s fighting on? Is that Goro? If so, what the heck is going on? If you go by the Mortal Kombat X comic, he lost his arms to Kotal Kahn but he lived. If you go by the Mortal Kombat X game, he wasn’t playable but he was in the game. So what gives?

With Jade being added, this brings the roster up to 18 characters.

  • Baraka
  • Cassie Cage
  • D’vorah
  • Geras
  • Jade
  • Kabal
  • Kano
  • Kitana
  • Kung Lao
  • Kronika
  • Liu Kang
  • Raiden
  • Scorpion
  • Shao Khan
  • Skarlet
  • Sonya Blade
  • Sub-Zero

Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled for an April 23 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
