I don’t know if I can hold it that long
Hang on to your butts, and when I say this I’m being quite literal. In a recent interview with Collider, the Russo Brothers have confirmed that the upcoming ‘Avengers: Endgame’ is a movie with a lot of moving parts. Emotion attachment, high stakes and as such, this movie could be the first 3-hour movie. They also have Disney’s blessing if that actually happens – and they have never been fans of long-running movies.
Yes, I said 3-hours. I really hope there’s an intermission so we can get a snack break and bathroom run.
All jokes aside, I can see why a movie of this proportion could easily clock up to 3-hours. We’re talking about a movie that not only gives us a resolution and closure from the events of Avengers: Infinity War. It also is the product of a buildup that has been 23 films and in the making since 2008 – starting with the original ‘Iron Man’ MCU flick. Some may also remember that ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was 2 hours and 40 minutes long. So another 20 minutes isn’t going to be that bad. Right?
However, the Russo’s have claimed that during the four screenings of the movie, not a single person made the trek to the restroom.

While we don’t know who’s going to be around after the dust settles after the events of Avengers: Endgame, we do know when phase four starts. And it starts with ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’.

My own concern is will we be able to sit down for 3-hours? To which I really hope the film does get trimmed down, but only if what gets cut isn’t critical. If it means removing segments that could tie some narrative then I’d rather they leave it in.
A word of advice for anyone going to see this film when it releases on April 26, 2019. Do not drink anything before you see this film and make you go to the restroom. Even if you don’t feel the urge to. I got a feeling that we’re not going to what to miss anything when Avengers: Endgame is released.
