Toukiden: The Age of Demons set to release in North America and Europe

By Keith MitchellDecember 12, 2013

Toukiden

I don’t know about you but I love me some Monster Hunter, however it seems that Capcom still doesn’t know how to market that series and still keeps putting the game onto systems I either don’t have or they don’t release the games into the US market at all. So imagine my delight when I found out that Tecmo Koei has finally decided that Japan shouldn’t have all the fun and are now releasing Toukiden: The Age of Demons for both the North American and European markets.

So what is Toukiden you ask? Well take Monster Hunter and combine it with say, Onimusha and you basically have a rough idea of the game. It’s Monster Hunter but instead of monsters you’re hunting / fighting demons with 3 other players in a feudal japan backdrop, sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Taking a page from games akin to Phantasy Star Online, you can also customize your character’s look, so you can be totally bad ass Samarui or Kunoichi.

Pre-orders are now being taken Gamestop which includes a bonus of two extra mission collections and the “Mitama of Niijima” and at Amazon which includes the “Mitama of Momotaro”, “Cat Ears” and “Fox Mask” armor as a pre-order bonus.

I’ve been waiting on this game to come to the North American market and the announcement is even sweeter since I finally picked up a Sony PS Vita.

Toukiden: The Age of Demons will launch for Sony PS Vita on February 11 in North America and February 14 in Europe.
