Turok 1 And 2 Remasters Are Headed To The Xbox One

By Keith MitchellFebruary 28, 2018

Listen up all you dinosaur and monster hunters, as this one is for you. Acclaim Entertainment’s dinosaur hunting game from the Nintendo 64 Days, Turok, is headed to the Xbox One. Turok 1 and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, have been remastered and will available on March 1st, priced at $19.99 each. Both titles have been ported by Nightdive Studios.

For those not familiar with the series, you play as Turok. Tasked with protecting a place that exists between the Earth and the Lost Land. A place where time has no meaning, so there be Dinosaurs and other crazy stuff there.  It was an amazingly fun game back in the day and the gameplay still holds up today. This actually isn’t the first time that either game has been a re-release, as it got an update on the PC as well. Released back during 2015 and 2017 respectively. Sure, it looks dated but the gameplay is still intact.

But is the 4-player mode still available in Turok 2, you ask? Yep, it’s there. Well, at least it was on the PC port, so I’m assuming it will be on the Xbox One port.

I spent many days trying to beat both of these games on the Nintendo 64. So you can best believe I’ll be checking this out again. My inner-childhood demands it, and who am I to ignore him?

No word if we’ll see a remastered version of Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion. But I’m kind of hope that we will.
