Help Bungie Support The Victims Of Hurricane Harvey

By Keith MitchellAugust 31, 2017
Destiny 2

It’s no secret that those living in the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey are having a really rough time. Severe flooding, damage loss and there have even been multiple reports of loss of life. It’s a really bad time for the state of Texas and Bungie wants to pitch in to help everyone that they can. But they need our help to do so. In return for your help, you’ll feel good about helping others and Bungie will kick you back a little something.

Available in the Bungie store is a collectible heart pin that is priced at $15. All profits for purchasing this pin will go towards the Bungie Foundation. Everything collected will then be turned over to a non-profit group called Direct Relief. This is the same group that Bungie worked with during back during 2015 when they helped victims that suffered at the hand of the Napal Earthquake. That effect ended up raising over $1 million dollars, and Bungie is hoping that can meet or surpass that with this effect.

Those who pitch in will receive both the collectible heart pin, but also an in-game pin that will be displayed in the upcoming Destiny 2 title. The physical pin will include a code for a redeemable emblem once the game is released. Gamers will be able to proudly display that emblem, showing off their support.

Bungie has stated that the pins won’t be shipping out until October 2017, but that shouldn’t stop you from pitching in. And if the $15 donation is too low for you, you can donate directly to the relief effort by going here.

Destiny 2 releases on September 6th, 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One, and later on October 27th, 2017 for the PC
