Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, the upcoming RPG from Level-5 and Bandai Namco, just got a page on Steam. Now, the game its self isn’t available just yet, It’s nice to see the page up already, instead of the last minute. With that, we can see various things such as pre-order bonuses, Season Pass info and of course the requirements needed to play the game on the PC.
Speaking of the specs, take notice that unlike several recent RPG releases, this titles requirements are a bit heftier. Both the minimum and recommended settings are asking for at least an i5/i7 or FX-6300/FX-8350. Oddly enough, the GPU requirements aren’t as high, meaning this game is CPU-intensive. Still, if you’re looking for a 1080p@60fps experience, you gotta have the power to get the results.

Now, if you’re wondering if you need to play the first game to understand the sequel, I wouldn’t worry about it. The games aren’t connected and while part 2 occurs in the same world, you’re playing with different characters and during a different time. That said, if you like RPGs, the first is definitely worth a try, but isn’t a requirement. However, you’ll have to check it out on either the PlayStation 3 or even PS Now (which is available on Windows).

For those who’ve played the first title, you’ll be happy to know that while Studio Ghibli isn’t working on this title directly, they are still attached. Several key members such as Joe Hisaishi (Music) and Yoshiyuki Momose, among others have been tasked for the follow-up.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has a release date of Jan. 18th, 2018, for both the PC and PlayStation 4.
