Sega has revealed a brand-new 3D action platformer title, called “Sonic Dream Team” for the Apple Arcade, being released on December 5th, 2023. This new Sonic adventure will see Sonic the Hedgehog going up against his nemesis, Dr. Eggman/Robotnik, after he discovers an item called the Reverie. With this, Eggman can manifest dreams, bringing them to life, and has captured Sonic’s friends.
Yet again, it’s up to Sonic to save his friends and end Dr. Eggman’s nightmarish dreams of world domination. Judging from the video, the levels will have Sonic and friends doing their typical thing: running, jumping, grabbing rings, and putting the smackdown on some bosses. The levels look fun and remind me of the older Sonic the Hedgehog titles… it has that vibe going for it.
I’ll be honest this came out of nowhere, but it does look like fun, and I’m a sucker for a Sonic the Hedgehog game. Who can say no to a Sonic game and one that will be released around the holidays?
