Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have revealed that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will launch worldwide on August 25, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The sequel expands the original game’s cooperative third-person shooting action from three players to four, placing players in the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to some of the most dangerous locations in the Alien universe. Players will need to coordinate their classes and abilities as Xenomorphs stalk corridors, attack from the shadows, and overwhelm squads in increasingly chaotic encounters.
Cold Iron Studios says Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will feature deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, new elemental weapon modifications, and a fully customizable Specialist class. We also went hands-on with Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 during Summer Game Fest 2026, where we experienced its expanded four-player action and some of the new threats waiting for Colonial Marines.
The Digital Standard Edition will be priced at $49.99, while the Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 – 40th Anniversary Premium Edition will cost $69.99. The Premium Edition includes the base game, Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack, and Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack. Standard Edition owners will also be able to purchase the Premium Edition Upgrade separately for $19.99.
Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack includes an outfit inspired by Ellen Ripley’s appearance near the end of 1986’s Aliens, along with Ripley’s modified pulse rifle, exclusive decals, and additional cosmetic items. Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack includes an outfit based on the over-the-top comic-book character, Herk Mondo’s modified pulse rifle, decals, and other customization options.
An additional Alien: Romulus-themed Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack will also be available on August 25 for $9.99. This DLC includes an outfit based on Rain Carradine, Rain’s modified pulse rifle with an underbarrel cryoweapon, and several additional decals and character customization items.
