James Gunn’s Superman Film Takes Flight In First Teaser Trailer

Look, it's Krypto! Oh, and Superman, too.

There’s been plenty of hype around the upcoming DCU, and one of the key lynchpins of the whole thing is not only James Gunn heading up the project but also taking the reins to make several of its key properties, one of the biggest being Superman. The Man of Steel has had many iterations in live-action, but Gunn felt he had the perfect story to tell, a “story about humanity,” as he put it recently. The question was, how would it all look when it came out?

While we have to wait until next year to watch the full film, the teaser trailer for Superman dropped today, and it featured much of what many hoped to see. For example, we got our first good looks at Clark Kent and Kal-El, alongside Krypto, Guy Gardner, Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, and some of the threats that the Man of Steel will face.
