Xenoblade Chronicles Animated Series Rumored To Be In Development!

I NEED IT!!!
By Todd BlackNovember 26, 2024
Xenoblade Chronicles

I love the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise. I have since starting it (with X on the Wii U) and fell for it further with 2, 3, and the Definitive Edition of the original. On the most recent episode of Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, I even gave thanks to Nintendo for FINALLY porting X to the Nintendo Switch (coming in March next year.) I’m very much eager to see what happens next with the beloved Monolith Soft series, and I know that there are plenty of ways for it to maximize its potential.

That brings me to an interesting rumor I found online from a guy named Nash Weedle. He claims that Nintendo is making a Xenoblade Chronicles animated series, AND, that it would premiere on a Nintendo streaming platform. The tweet where Nash notes this is below

So, is this legit? Probably not. First, it was posted a few days ago, but no one else is reporting this, so that’s not a good sign. Second, this guy, Nash, apparently isn’t the most reliable source of information. Finally, the idea of “Nintendo TV’ is ludicrous for various reasons. Yes, Nintendo does have TV/movie content, but not enough to justify trying to make a streaming platform.

All that being said, would I LOVE for Xenoblade Chronicles to get an animated series? Yes!!!! Between the four main games you could have plenty of content to have fun with. It’d also bring more eyes to the series, which would mean more sales in the long-term. So, while this likely isn’t happening right now based on this rumor, that doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen in the future if The Big N gets that itch to try it!
