Take-Two Interactive CEO Says “Never Count Nintendo Out”

A Potential Partnership In The Works?
By Todd BlackNovember 7, 2024
gta 6

One of the things that many people are looking forward to with the Switch 2 reveal isn’t just the 1st party games that we know will be good, but the 3rd party titles that will be coming from other developers and publishers. Nintendo made it clear in its recent financial briefing that it’s looking to “strengthen relationships” with other gaming teams, and Take-Two Interactive was on that list. Currently, there are very few games from the publisher on the Switch, but according to the company’s CEO, that could change if the hardware is right.

As noted by GamesRadar, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked about possibly putting certain titles on the Switch 2. He responded:

“We don’t tend to comment meaningfully on the decisions of the hardware makers, except to say that successful platforms benefit the business, and we support successful platforms. We’re happy to do so.”

He would later go on to note:

“Never count Nintendo out.”

So, we’ll have to see where this goes. Could we see GTA 6 or even Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Switch 2? It’s possible, we just have to see if it works out.
