You know you’re doing good with a mobile title when you’re raking in millions by the day and not showing any signs of slowing down. For Pokemon TCG Pocket, that’s exactly what’s happening, and it’s something that makes you wonder how high it will go. To recap, the mobile game arrived on October 30th, and according to Pocket Gamer, it has grossed $120 million as of the 17th! That’s not just impressive; that’s almost insane! That only gets magnified when you realize that the game is basically averaging about $6 million in revenue a day!
They also revealed that Japan, unsurprisingly, continues to be the biggest “spender” on the title, with over $50 million spent so far! An irony to this is that, not unlike Pokemon GO when it first started, it’s still really bare bones with what you can get and do. There are only 250 cards to collect so far, and trading doesn’t come until January.
Still, with everything Pokemon TCG Pocket is doing, this is a huge success for The Pokemon Company.
