Google’s Copyright Rankings show that U.S.-based companies generate their top 5 copyright infringement takedown reports.
Its latest figures indicate that Google has received a combined 10,199,908,138 URL takedown requests for deletion by 629,353 organizations. Anime and manga companies were well-represented in those companies by occupying the Top 5 spots!
Those spots are as follows:
- VIZ Media LLC (49k, 305.2 million)
- Toei Animation (61k, 80.6 million)
- Japan Creative Contents Alliance LLC (32.0k, 48.1 million)
- FUNimation Entertainment (Sony) (29.5k, 36.7 million)
- Aniplex of America Inc. (18.3k, 9.8 million)
Other contributed companies include Tapppytoon, Boomtoon, WEBTOON Entertainment, NAVER WEBTOON, Toomics, and Toyou’s Dream.
