During PlayStation’s State of Play in September 2024, we got a few release dates for upcoming games. One of those was Dynasty Warriors Origins. Also in the trailer, we got more visuals of other characters in the series such as Cao Cao, Diao Chan, Lu Bu, Lui Bei, and more.
One thing to note I am extremely excited about is we are getting English voice acting. I was on the fence about if we were getting an English dub due to the mixed reaction to the voice acting in Dynasty Warriors 9. Just what little we got in the trailer has me optimistic about the quality of voice acting the game will have. There were some jitters in the fight when the nameless hero jumped off the building to attack in the middle of the army but otherwise, most of the effects and soldier fights look clean.
The next surprise was how close the release date is to right now. Dynasty Warriors Origins releases January 17th, 2025 to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
