Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero The Moment trailer Is A Toonami Homage

By Keith MitchellSeptember 24, 2024
DRAGON BALL Sparking! Zero - The Moment Trailer

Bandai Namco knows its audience when it comes to Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, and nothing can be more apparent than the latest trailer. No, not the roster trailer, I’m talking about taking it old-school. The Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero – The Moment Trailer is nothing more than Cartoon Network’s Toonami homage. I love it!

Let’s be honest, a vast majority of today’s Dragon Ball fans discovered Dragon Ball Z when they first watched it on Toonami. Who can forget T.O.M the Robot’s amazing narration, while we watched people fly, while kicking ass and tossing around beams of chi like it was nothing. And it’s that this trailer recreates those times. A better time. A simpler time. Damn, this trailer hit me in the feels, but also made me feel old as heck since Dragon Ball Z aired on Toonami more than 20 years ago.

For your old-school DBZ fans, you’ll understand and you’ll just have to explain it to the younger generation.

Is this the best game trailer of all time? My inner self is telling me that it is.

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero releases along with its massive roster, on October 11, 2024, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
