TRIGGER Is Working on a Transformers Anime

Transformers and TRIGERR.....
By Keith MitchellAugust 29, 2024

The animation studio known as TRIGGER has graced the world with several amazing anime, from Kill la Kill, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,  Darling In The FranXX, BNA: Brand New Animal, and one of my favorite’s as of late, Delicious in Dungeon. That’s just the tip of the iceberg since the studio has a lot of other great anime and has worked on dozens of collaborations. But the recent news that TRIGGER is now working on a Transformers anime as part of the Transformers 40th anniversary (damn, I’m old) and I dare say I’ve lost my shit.

Transformers, from the toys, cartoons, anime, and yes, the various comic books have been a huge part of my life. So, to see that TRIGGER, of all studios, is working on this, I can already imagine how amazing this is going to be.

To give us a peek at what it is working on, TRIGGER released a short teaser. In it, we can see several iconic characters, including Megatron, Optimus Prime, and Rodius Prime. You know who I’m talking about.

Outside of this video, I don’t know much about what this is going to be. A one-off? A complete series? It’s anyone’s guess right now. But rest assured, I’m going to try my best to find out.

So, let’s label this one under “Story is developing” for now.
