Tizoc Flies Into Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves

By Kevin KellyAugust 15, 2024

SNK released Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Tizoc trailer yesterday. The luchador-esque wrestler, who seems to be King of The Dinosaurs in the King of Fighters games, has returned to the Southtown stage in a trailer. With Hotaru’s trailer released just days ago, as predicted, we’d be getting a preview of what to expect. Tizoc is one of the few characters first shown in exhibitions of the City of The Wolves game. And surprisingly, his beak…err mouth is moving!  Tizoc is a grappler type, relying on wrestling moves from command grabs and the like.

One surprising detail, in his new and louder stage, is the fact that Raiden – a wrestler in the Fatal Fury lore – is watching this match-up in the Tizoc stage. Formally Big Bear, Raiden has returned. With Raiden showing face in Southtown again, there could be a personal connection to the warrior of justice and the Austrailian Heel wrestler. Why the sudden change back to his old persona recently more times than his Face persona? Maybe a certain boss has returned and decided to employ his services once more to stop another certain character. Then again, this is deeper lore than expected.

Jalen K. Cassell, of Gundam and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be voicing Tizoc on the English end. At this point, Preecha seems to be the odd one out without a dedicated stage or gameplay trailer. At this speed, we might be seeing hers next week with a new character to join her.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be available in early 2025 on PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC through Steam and Epic Game Store.
