Amazon Anthology Series Devoted to Gaming Called Secret Level Announced

By Keith MitchellAugust 20, 2024
Amazon Secret Level gaming series

Over the past decade or so, video games have become more than the games that we’ve played, with countless television shows and movies. Now, Amazon, who is no stranger to exploring gaming worlds via television shows (Fallout), has announced it is working on a new adult-animated anthology series called “Secret Level” that will feature 15 short stories based in the video game universe.

This project is being handled by Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio, who you may know better as the studio that gave the world Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots. The latter is a show that I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve watched.

Secret Level will have 15 episodes based on gaming universes. Here’s the list:

  • Armored Core
  • Concord
  • Crossfire
  • Mega Man
  • Honor of Kings
  • God of War
  • New World: Aeternum
  • Pac-Man
  • Sifu
  • The Outer Worlds
  • Spelunky
  • Dungeons & Dragons
  • Exodus
  • Unreal Tournament
  • Warhammer 40,000

All of these games are damned good picks, but If I’m being biased, I can’t wait to see the Armored Core and Unreal Tournament episodes. Both games have been near and dear to my gaming soul, and I was quite the Unreal Tournament player in my younger years – I even won a few tournaments in a now default gaming organization.

Still, this just goes to show that gaming is more than gamers controlling the action, and companies are realizing that there’s a lot of merit in these gaming words.

Amazon’s Secret Level will be available to watch on Amazon Prime this upcoming December 10, 2024. I’m so excited about this and am looking forward to watching this and geeking out. Are you?
