My Hero Academia: You’re Next Movie Dropping In US This October

The last movie of the line?

My Hero Academia: You're Next

The current “anime boom” can be largely attributed to two shows/manga, and one of them is My Hero Academia. This simple yet epic twist on the superhero formula captured the imaginations of many fans worldwide, and it’s been one of the best properties of the genre since its debut. We know that the manga will end soon, and that means the anime won’t be far behind. However, before all of it ends, another movie is on the way via My Hero Academia: You’re Next. Today, Toho International confirmed that the film will arrive on October 11th in the United States.

You can check out the poster for the film below. In a message to ComicBook.com, Koji Ueda, the president of Toho International, had this to say about the upcoming film’s release:

“We fully recognize a major driving force behind the success of Godzilla Minus One was the way the passionate fan community embraced the film. As the distributor for the North American release, Toho International’s goal was to treat the release as seriously as any other, giving it the respect it deserved and that the community who has embraced the franchise for so many years equally deserved.”

The new film puts Deku against a new villain who took the message of All Might following his “final” fight with All For One and rises up to “take his mantle” in a new direction. You’ll have to see how it all goes when the movie drops in a few months!
