Hikaru Utada Holds Stationhead Listening Party on June 13

In addition to the upcoming tour, Hikaru Utada has been creating buzz around the world with a surprise release of their song  “Simple And Clean (Re-Recording),” featured in the latest trailer for the Steam version of the game Kingdom Hearts, which quickly climbed the US YouTube charts. A new visualizer for “Face My Fears (English version)” has been released on YouTube, featuring illustrations drawn by Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura – watch here. The YouTube premiere coincides with the release of the “Kingdom Hearts” series on Steam.

In addition, a special listening party will be held on Stationhead by the “hikkistaff” account tonight at 10pm EDT / 7pm PDT. During this one-day only online event, fans can enjoy Utada Hikaru songs related to the Kingdom Hearts series and join the group chat together with Utada staff.  *Please note the artist will not attend this event.

Hikaru Utada’s ambitious tour, “HIKARU UTADA SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024” begins this July in Japan and will soon reach fans around the world. In preparation, the artist has unveiled official tour merchandise available online for pre-order and global shipping.

The first items to be announced include T-shirts (4 types), a long towel, magnet light, mug cup, small pouch, cap, key chain (2 types), as well as items featuring Utada’s original Kuma-chan illustration such as the Kuma-chan sticker set, and Kuma-chan patterned tote. A second round of tour merchandise will be announced in the near future on social media, the official website, and the tour app – so stay tuned!
