Crunchyroll Changes Pricing on Two of its Subscription Tiers

Crunchyroll has announced that it has increased the pricing on its Mega Fan Tier and its Ultimate Fan Tier in select countries. Those countries include The United States, Argentina, Columbia, France, and Portugal.

The Mega Fan Tier will see an increase of $2 per month while the Ultimate Fan Tier will see an increase of $1 per month. In addition. Crunchyroll has reduced their free trial period from 14 days down to 7 days.

The new pricing and what you get for it is as follows

Fan Tier – $7.99/mo

  • 5% off select products at the Crunchyroll Store.
  • Free U.S. shipping on purchases greater than $75 or a flat-$7 from the Crunchyroll Store.
  • Early access to pre-orders and exclusives!

Mega Fan Tier – $11.99/mo

  • 10% off select products at the Crunchyroll Store.
  • Free U.S. shipping on purchases greater than $50 or a flat-$7 from the Crunchyroll Store.
  • Access to a growing library of games via Crunchyroll Game Vault.
  • Stream on up to four devices at a time.
  • Offline viewing!
  • Early access to pre-orders and exclusives.

Ultimate Fan Tier – $15.99/mo

  • 15% off select products at the Crunchyroll Store.
  • Free U.S. shipping on all purchases at the Crunchyroll Store.
  • Access to a growing library of games via Crunchyroll Game Vault.
  • Stream on up to six devices at a time.
  • Offline viewing!
  • Early access to pre-orders and exclusives.
  • Ability to order convention

There are no changes to the ad-support option at this time. Crunchyroll claims the increase in pricing is a reflection to the increase in content on their platform, boasting over 45,000 episodes across 1,400 series and films. They note that this has been the only time that they have increased pricing since 2019.
