Stellar Blade Finally Gets New Information

By Scott AdamsSeptember 11, 2023

After September’s State of Play, there have been virtually no new trailers or even information regarding Stellar Blade. That changes today. PlayStation has updated Stellar Blade on the PlayStation Store. This includes some new information about the game as well as a FAQ further down on the store page. The first great thing we get is the game overview on the front of the page.

“Save humanity from extinction in this electrifying story-driven action adventure.

The future of humanity is balanced on the edge of a blade. Ravaged by strange, powerful creatures, Earth has been abandoned, and what is left of the decimated human race has fled to a Colony in outer space.

After traveling from the Colony, Paratrooper Eve arrives on the desolate remains of our planet with a clear-cut mission: to save humankind by reclaiming Earth from the NA:tive – the malevolent force that has devastated it.

But as Eve tackles the NA:tive one-by-one, piecing together the mysteries of the past as she explores the ruins of human civilization, she realizes that her mission is far from straightforward. In fact, almost nothing is as it seems…”

Stellar Blade is being developed by Shift Up and published by Sony. This publishing announcement shocked those who followed the game’s original title, Project Eve. We also get some information about the combat and the game’s goal. The PlayStation store states that Stellar Blade is set in “A not-too-distant future Earth, ruined beyond recognition during a global invasion that expelled humankind from its home planet.”.

Clearly most players are excited to play this game for the Plot

The thing that surprised me about the FAQ is they included a question about if Stellar Blade will be a difficult game or not. The response was there is a lot to this game’s combat with precision, timing and calculating enemy patterns so we have to be ready for a challenging video game. I wasn’t sure if they were going to go all into a difficult approach but it does make me excited to see how well the game’s mechanics lend to the difficulty it is trying to go for. The PlayStation Store page was also nice enough to let us know that the physical game will be available alongside the digital one. As a fan of physical games, this makes me excited!

Stellar Blade still has a release date of 2023. The FAQ does not give us any new information on its release and just asks that we check back soon. It will be a PS5 console exclusive game. It can now be wishlisted on the PlayStation Store.
