Cheating Death in Remnant 2 With These Tips

We all know that dying, well, it plain sucks. And I’m sure many of you have had your fair share of it while playing Remnant 2. But hopefully, these tips I’m about to drop on you will help you stay alive a bit longer.

Remnant 2 has its fair share of ways to keep kicking you when you’re down, and we could all use an edge. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to give yourself that edge, at least when it comes to the self-revival department. In this guide, we’ll be going over several such ways and hopefully give you a better chance of completing the game.

Starting with the Challenger Archetype, which has a prime perk called “Die Hard.” At first, the Prime Perk, Die Hard, makes a player invulnerable for 2 seconds and regenerates 50% of their health when they receive fatal damage. This perk will get even better as the Archetype is leveled up. At level 5, the Die Hard prime perk will make players invulnerable for 2.5 seconds while regenerating 75 percent of their health. At level 10, the player is invulnerable for 3 seconds and regenerates 100% of their health.

It’s a damned amazing perk and one that’s only available to the Challenger Archetype. The downside to this is that this perk has a 10-minute cooldown.

Of course, If you don’t want to use the Challenger Archetype and you’re trying to squeeze out every bit of damage that you can dish out, there are other ways of shrugging off a nearly fatal strike.

Another such way is the Black Cat Band, which is a ring that can be purchased at Ward 13 by talking to that friendly guy, Reggie. Before that can happen, you’ll have to die 15 times, go talk to Reggie. After tat, once Reggie shows you his wares, you can purchase the Black Cat Band for 500 scrap. This handy ring, just like the Challenger Archetype, will allow players to avoid a visit from the Grim Reaper and will provide a 25 percent movement speed boost.

It won’t provide a health regeneration boost. However, the upside to that is that the black cat band only has a two-minute cooldown, meaning it can be used more often.

Outside of those two methods, there’s another way to cheat death, but you must follow the Ornate Key and Lockbox quest line in Yaesha. If you aren’t sure how to do this quest line, we have a guide that walks through the entire process. Opening that box provides a seed, and if you plant that seed back at Ward 13.

After a while, a tree will grow that will bear several different fruits. The type of fruit you get will depend on how long you allow the fruit to ripen, just like picking fruit in real life.

While any of the Thaen Fruits are just as good as the Challenger Prime Perk, Die Hard, once consumed, they are only good for 60 minutes, and once used, their effect is gone. Also, if you log out of disconnect for any reason, the effect is also gone.

First up is the Mature Thaen Fruit, which, once consumed, will protect players from fatal damage, regenerates 30 percent of their health, and makes them immune to status effects for 30 seconds.

Next is the Elder Thaen Fruit, which protects from fatal damage, regenerates 40 percent of health, and makes players immune to status effects for 30 seconds.

Lastly, there’s the Celestrial Thaen Fruit, which protects from fatal damage and regenerates 50 percent of health, making players immune to status effects for 30 seconds.

Hopefully, these tips will help you stay in the fight a bit longer as you make your way through Remnant 2, especially if you’re playing on the higher difficulties, as you’ll need every edge you can get.

Remnant 2 is available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
