To celebrate the release of the Magic: The Gathering The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth crossover card set brought to us from Wizards of the Coast, WOTC has allowed us 5 bundle sets to giveaway to AUSTRALIAN RESIDENTS ONLY… Sorry USA and others, this is a one-country-only competition.
Each Magic: The Gathering The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth bundle, valued at AU$99.95 each, contains:
- Eight Set Booster Packs
- Four foil borderless Mount Doom Scene cards
- 20 x Traditional foil and regular basic lands
- Oversized Spindown life counter
- Card box
So you might be wondering what you have to do… Are we going to send you on a long walk to Mount Doom to throw The One Ring? (The special 1 of 1 The One Ring is not available via the Bundles as it’s in Collectors Boosters only) Will you have to fight an army of Ring Wraiths? Or maybe face off against a Giant Spider in the caverns of Mines of Moria?
Nope.
But we are going to see how creative you are.
We want you to create your own Magic: The Gathering crossover card!
In order to enter this competition, you will need to follow the following conditions:
- Create any type of card (except mana) using the MTG Cardsmith website
- The card must NOT use a previous Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond crossover, this includes Secret Lair releases (Check the list here)
- The card must contain at least 1-2 spells/mechanics that relate to the card’s mana base
- The flavor text at the bottom is a bonus, extra points for humor
- Include the first letter of your first name, last name, state, and postcode in the “Author” line of the card
- Email the PNG card file with full name & address to karl.smart@theouterhaven.net with the subject line “AUS MTG Bundle Giveaway”
- Only ONE card can be submitted per person
For example, I’ve gone ahead and created a Red/Black Legendary Creature card using the Resident Evil character Nemesis, complete with 2 techniques themed to the character.
Entries close on July 12, 2023, at 11:59 pm Australian Eastern Time. Open to Australian residents only.
