WEBTOON and Wizards of the Coast Reveal Brie and the Borrowed Blade

By Josh PiedraJuly 24, 2023

WEBTOON and Wizards of the Coast have revealed the title and exclusive first-look images from their upcoming official Dungeons & Dragons webcomic collaboration. The series, titled “Brie and the Borrowed Blade,” is written by “Suitor Armor” creator Purpah with art by Ryan Maniulit, and will star Brie, the daughter of R.A. Salvatore’s beloved Dungeons & Dragons characters Drizzt and Cattie-brie. The series will see Brie (or Breezy) “borrow” her father’s iconic sword, Twinkle, and embark on a journey to discover what it takes to be a hero.

“Brie and the Borrowed Blade” is slated to launch in 2024, with more details to be announced in the coming months.

The series will be available exclusively on WEBTOON.

The first look at the collaboration was revealed during the “D&D Enters the World of WEBTOON – An Exclusive First Look! ” panel on Sunday, July 23 at San Diego Comic-Con. The early series art gives fans a glimpse into the development process for Brie (Briennelle Zaharina), as well as a first look at the characters of Drizzt, Cattie-brie, Quillian Harpell, Merith Wickwyre, and Gavric Belbarum.
