The Lies of P demo has been downloaded over 1 million times

The Lies of P demo, available for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC has been downloaded over 1 million times, per the Lies of P Twitter account. It’s well deserved, and I can not wait for the game to be released finally.

That’s freaking amazing news for several reasons; not only is this a brand-new IP, but this demo was one of the best-looking and playable demos I’ve seen on any platform, including the PC, in quite some time. Heck, the performance of the PC demo put to shame the recent efforts of several well-known AAA studios and this is coming from a studio that isn’t known for its Soulslike titles and only has one AAA game to its credit, and I mean that with no disrespect to you whatsoever, Round8 Studio. For a demo to get this many downloads and nothing but acclaim regarding it, it’s unheard of, and you should be extremely proud of your efforts.

Lies of P reached 1 million demo downloads and it has been our pleasure to welcome so many new guests to Krat! The puppets have certainly been busy since your arrival. #LiesofP

It wasn’t the only one here impressed with their efforts, as another staffer, Nic Fox, provided his Lies of P demo impressions.

Lies of P is an upcoming action RPG (Soulslike) where you are playing the role of Pinocchio in a dark Fantasy world as you search for your father and look to find out why the other puppets in the world are behaving as they are. You are unique, as you can lie, something other puppets can’t do. The game also features several exciting gameplay mechanics that feel unique in a sea of so many “me-to” Soulslike titles.

Lies of P will be released for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 19, 2023
