Nintendo Is Bringing Two Tournaments To PAX East

By Todd BlackMarch 16, 2023
Nintendo, PAX East

It’s fair to say that PAX East is an event that gamers of all types like to go to to meet developers and play their games. There’s always something to do there, which is why it’s endured for so long. This year’s event will be special thanks to Nintendo coming to the show and bringing some great content with them. But if you’re looking for something more “high-octane,” they have you covered, as the Splatoon 3 North American Championship 2023 tournament and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship Cup 2023 tournament will be at the show for fans to watch!

These tournaments will highlight some of the best North American players around battling it out for glory and bragging rights. Needless to say, Nintendo is excited about having them at the show:

“We are always finding ways to create a more consistent, fun and welcoming competitive environment for our players and fans,” said Bill Trinen, Vice President of Player & Product Experience at Nintendo of America. “Having the finals of Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at PAX East offers a way for these outstanding players to showcase their skills in front of an audience, while also inviting fans to get in on the action!”

If you’re looking for something to do outside of watching tournaments, the NintendoVS Arcade has your back. NintendoVS Arcade will have Mario Party Superstars, Yoshi’s Crafted World, Mario Golf: Super Rush, and the original Super Mario Bros. game to play. There are special challenges you can do within them, and you can get special items if you get there soon enough.
