New Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game announced

By Keith MitchellMarch 5, 2023
Dragon Ball Z_ Budokai Tenkaichi 4 Official Trailer (9)

During the weekend’s Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023, and right before the Dragon Ball Super Card Game World Championship finals, a new trailer for a brand new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi was revealed.

While this trailer was short, and during this reveal, several seconds of the older games in the series were shown, followed by Goku transforming into his Super Saiyan Blue or Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form, with the words “A New Budokai Tenkaichi Begins.” ending out the trailer. All of this was more than enough to hype up everyone who was attending the event.

While the game is early in development, Bandai Namco was happy to share this trailer with everyone watching this event.

Gamersprey managed to upload the video in its entirety.

For those keeping count, there hasn’t been a new game in the series in ten years. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 1 was released in 2005, and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 followed in 2006, with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 being released in 2007. There was Dragon Ball Z: Budokai TenkaichiTag Team that was released in 2010 but wasn’t called the fourth game in the series.

When we find out more, we’ll provide more information on the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game. Hopefully this is an entirety new game, and not a remake of the previous titles.
