An Updated demo of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty to be released on February 24

If you missed out on the prior Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty demo, you’re in luck, as Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have revealed that it will release another demo on February 24, 2023. This demo will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

While it wasn’t mentioned what’s different from the last demo, I’d imagine this will include the changes that were made, thanks to the feedback that Koei Tecmo had received from the previous demo. The developer was pleased that players took the time to provide helpful feedback and stated that, based on the input, it had made several changes to the upcoming game. One of those changes is how the healing mechanic worked, which is good news. As much as I enjoyed the demo, healing was simply too slow. I look forward to seeing how it works in the upcoming demo.

Koei Tecmo also revealed that those who complete the demo would receive the “Crouching Dragon Helmet” DLC that will be available in the full game.

Based on the period of the Three Kingdoms, an era that Koei Tecmo often revisits, players will dive into a conflict surrounding an elixir that everyone wants to fulfill their desires. However, unlike the first Nioh, players will play the role of a nameless soldier who must do everything possible to stop the conflict. Just like Nioh 2, players will be able to customize their character as they see fit.

As for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, as someone who loves the Soulslike games, including Nioh 1 and 2, I’m looking forward to getting my ass handed to me… a lot.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will release on March 3, 2023, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.
