Dead Space Remake Features a New Game Plus Mode

By Keith MitchellJanuary 25, 2023
Dead Space Remake

While EA’s and Motive’s Dead Space Remake releases in two days, the pair is still dropping news about the game. The latest news is that the Dead Space Remake will indeed have a New Game Plus mode, which the original game didn’t have.

Included in this New Game+ mode, players will be treated to a new type of enemy called “Phantom Variant Necromorphs.” Nothing has been said about how much tougher or new abilities these enemies will have, so we’ll have to wait until players eventually beat the game to talk about them. Given that they’re called phantoms, I wonder if they’ll be able to pass through walls or even ignore any weapon fire directed at them. Now that I think about that, that’s actually scary.

A higher-level suit, the Level 6 Advanced suit, and a new secret ending, will also round out the latest additions to New Game+ mode. Here’s to wondering if this secret ending will reveal more about the game that may have been cut originally. Or maybe even a clue about a new Dead Space that could be in the works.

Yes! #DeadSpace will have New Game+ at launch that includes:

– Level 6 Advanced Suit
– New Phantom Variant Necromorphs
– Secret Ending https://t.co/K4EuSPetX2
