Atomic Heart Runs at 4K/60FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X

According to the developer of Atomic Heart, Mundfish, the game will run at 4K 60FPS on both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X.

As mentioned on the Mundfish Twitter account, the game will support a “Solid 60fps, 4K in dungeons, mostly 4K at 60 fps in the open world.” This is specifically for the PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. As for the Xbox Series S, while it is a current-generation console, it is the weaker of the two Xbox consoles, so this may not apply.

Solid 60fps, 4K in dungeons , and Dynamic resolution, mostly 4K at 60 fps in open world. Next gen of course

While there hasn’t been any mention regarding the PS4 or Xbox One, I wouldn’t expect the same performance from the past-generation of gaming consoles.

In Atomic Heart, gamers will experience a utopian environment that takes place in the alternate timeline of the 1955 Soviet Union. It may be a paradise, but things are all wrong, and there are all these funky robots running amok and making a mess of everything.  It will be up to the player to find out what’s going on, and report back to your superiors — if you can get out alive, that is.

Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter with RPG elements, and the game reminds me very much of Bioshock. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a game such as that, so I’m looking forward to getting my hands on this title.

Atomic Heart releases on February 21st, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
