WEBTOON has announced voting will open for its third annual CANVAS Awards. The announcement marks the kickoff of a 6-day-long voting period, running from 6 PM PT on December 5 until 6 PM PT on December 11.

The CANVAS Awards offer the opportunity for fans to vote for their favorite series across 11 categories, with the top series in each category earning a prize of $5,000 USD and a merchandise deal. The 11th category, “Hidden Gems,” will have three series winners.

CANVAS provides creators with valuable access and tools to help grow their audiences and be compensated for their work. Series that have started on CANVAS include Rachel Smythe’s “Lore Olympus,” which won Best Webcomic at the 2022 Eisner, Ringo, and Harvey Awards, has been published as a #1 New York Times bestselling graphic novel, and is currently being adapted for television by Wattpad WEBTOON Studios and The Jim Henson Company.
