Need for Speed Unbound Official Reveal Trailer Released

By Keith MitchellOctober 6, 2022
Need for Speed Unbound Leak-03

Yesterday, we reported that EA was prepping to release a new trailer for its upcoming Need for Speed title, Need for Speed Unbound. Today, the reveal trailer for the title was released, along with a release date. Yep, this NFS title is still releasing in 2022, so we’ll get (hopefully) one more excellent racing title being the year is up.

It’s also only coming to the current generation of consoles, meaning there will be no port for the PS4, Xbox One, or at the moment, Nintendo Switch, which doesn’t bother me. Though I’m sure, those who don’t have access to those consoles might have a thing to two to say about it. This cell-shaded art style is interesting, as I don’t recall any of the NFS games doing this. Lastly, this reminds me of Need for Speed Underground, a game I loved.

The game will utilize the Frostbite engine, capable of support 4K support, and will also include a new physics system. There’s no mention of if we’ll see actual car damage or how banged up the cars can get if it’s in.

Race against time, outsmart the cops and take on weekly qualifiers to reach The Grand, Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge. Pack your garage with precision-tuned, custom rides and light up the streets with your style, exclusive fits, and a vibrant global soundtrack that bumps into every corner of the world.

Start at the bottom and race to the top in Need for Speed Unbound, coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 2, 2022.
