Milan Records today releases two albums of music from the hugely-popular NEON GENESIS EVANGELION anime franchise by composer Shiro SAGISU. Available now for the first time outside of Japan, both albums feature music from the original 1995 anime series by Hideaki Anno as well as the REBUILD OF EVANGELION film series, which concluded in 2021 with the release of the series’ fourth and final film Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time.
EVANGELION INFINITY arrives as a massive 50-track compilation album comprised of multiple versions of SAGISU’s iconic “EM20” theme, newly reinterpreted in a range of styles including everything from acapella and spaghetti western to chiptune versions of the track.
EVANGELION-VOX, meanwhile, includes 20 hip-hop and R&B remakes of SAGISU’s music, with contributions by artists like MALI, LOREN&MASH, LOREN and more putting their spin on some of the series’ main themes.
