Jarrett is a regular contributor to Bon Appetit and Food52, and is the author of The Comic Kitchen, a fully illustrated, comic-style cookbook. When not cooking and writing about food, Jarrett usually writes comic books and has contributed to the Ringo-nominated All We Ever Wanted, Full Bleed, and Murder Hobo: Chaotic Neutral.
Wild! Or So I Was Born to Be
Wild! Or So I Was Born To Be, V1 (releasing November 22, 2022) is the coming-of-age roller derby-action debut from creator Cristian Castelo. Cristian resides in Daly City, CA, with his dog, Chicken, and his uncle Jorge. He graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2017 with a BFA in printmaking. When he isn’t drawing comics, he is likely to be heard screaming at the TV while playing video games or running around the streets of San Francisco.
Season of the Bruja
Season of the Bruja Vol. 1 (on sale 12/6/22) follows a young woman as she comes into her magical abilities and faces reemergent threats from the past. Bruja is from Portland creator Aaron Durán who has written stories for Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, and Activision. Season of the Bruja features stunning cover art from celebrated artist and three-time Eisner winner David Aja.
