The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Confirmed, Will End the Series

By Todd BlackAugust 25, 2022
The Umbrella Academy Season 4

The Umbrella Academy has been one of those series where you didn’t expect it to be as good as it was, and then when you were done watching it, you wanted more. For three whole seasons, the Hargreeves has tried, failed, retried, kind of succeeded, and so on to save the world. But many wondered after the end of Season 3 (read our review!) what would be the future of the show. Well, now we know, as The Umbrella Academy Season 4 has been renewed by Netflix. However, it was also confirmed that this will be the final season of the show.

So yeah, we’ll have one last run with the Umbrellas, and we should be grateful because there were a LOT of questions coming out of Season 3. Not the least of which is the fate of Ben, who was shown in Korea in a stinger for the season. In a chat with Netflix, showrunner Steve Blackman noted that the reason he’s there is going to be revealed:

Let’s be clear — that is Sparrow Ben. The question you should really be asking yourself is what the f*ck is he doing on a Korean subway train reading a book about pottery? Odd, right? Of course, it is! This is the Umbrella Academy. As every good Umbrella fan knows, no moment in the show exists in isolation. Everything we see has meaning. And this moment is no exception. Ben has a reason to be there… but you’ll have to wait until Season 4 to understand why.

So no matter if you’re an old fan or a new one, The Umbrella Academy Season 4 is going to be anticipated, and hopefully it doesn’t take too long to be made so we can see how this family sees their story end.
