Play the Splatoon 3 12-hour Demo this Weekend

By Keith MitchellAugust 26, 2022

Here’s your friendly reminder that starting on August 27th, everyone will be able to play the Splatoon 3 12-hour demo, beginning on August 27th, 2022. This Saturday, anyone interested in Splatoon 3 can go to this link and secure a Splatoon 3 trial key. You must have a Nintendo store account to get a key.

Big news, the #Splatoon3: Splatfest World Premiere demo is on the way!

This inaugural Splatfest asks which reigns supreme, Rock, Paper, or Scissors?

The action (and the demo) kick-off 8/27 from 9am to 9pm PT!

Downloading the game today will let you play the Splatoon 3 tutorial, customize your character and choose your team. Of course, since you’re a few days away from the start, it doesn’t mean you can’t do anything while you wait. So, download it now and get ahead of the game.

Start playing #Splatoon3 today with the Splatfest World Premiere demo! Here’s 3 things you can do right now before the main event on 8/27.

Once the demo starts, everyone will be able to try out the new Splatoon 3 game mode, Splatfest Tricolor Turf War Battles, which pits players in an oddly 4v2v2 format. Three teams fight at the same time! The top team will face a pincer attack from 2 players on the 2nd place team & 2 players on the 3rd place team! It sounds like chaos to me, but also fun.

Splatfest Tricolor Turf War Battles

I’m not the biggest fan of Splatoon, but after hearing and seeing a lot of positive reception from the preview, I may see what this demo is all about.

Splatoon 3 releases exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on September 9th, 2022.
