10-minute Legend – A Dragon Ball Tale Film is a Must Watch For Dragon Ball Fans

By Keith MitchellJuly 7, 2022
LEGEND - A DRAGON BALL TALE - Vegeta

A few years ago,  Naseer Pasha of Studio Stray Dog set out to create a reimaging of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z called Legend – A Dragon Ball Tale. After four years of tears, sweat, and, I’m sure, lots of money, the project has been completed, and the 10-minute animated film has been released onto YouTube.

If the name seems familiar, it should be. Naseer Pasha has been featured in a number of projects that I’m sure you’re familiar with. Including Netflix’s Castlevania, the upcoming Rise of the TMNT: The Movie and is now working with Marvel.

That said, if you’re a fan of Dragon Ball, it’s worth a watch or ten. It’s not a retelling of the events we’ve already seen and know but a reimaging. Things have been changed, yet retaining what made both of those animes so special. Focusing on four major characters, Goku, Vegeta, Broly, and Chi-Chi, Legend – A Dragon Ball Tale, made me wish that Naseer and his team had more money to craft something even longer.

It even has the ability to make Goku not seem like a moron (unless he’s fighting), and Vegeta the insufferable ass that he originally was for the first few years of his existence. Vegeta even manages to channel his chi into a sword, and that’s freaking awesome. I always wanted someone in Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Ball Super to do that… but it never happened.

Give Legend – A Dragon Ball Tale a watch below, and then be sure to leave a comment for Naseer and his fantastic team.

Oh, and stay for the post-scene credits!

Thank you, Naseer Pasha and Studio Stray Dog, for working on and releasing this film. It’s greatly appreciated, and I hope we get to see more of your work — even if not on a Dragon Ball film.
