Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 Heads To Steam

Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2, a title that PlayStation 4 and 5 owners have enjoyed for a while, is now headed to Steam. Soon, PC gamers will be able to get into the same action – YES!

While Bandai Namco didn’t make as big of a fuss as they did with Gundam Evolution, it was mentioned on the Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Twitter account the game is headed to Steam. Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation launched back in 2018 for Japan, and it wasn’t until early 2021 that the game hit North American shores.

In Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation, two teams of six players participate in PVP battles based on Mobile Suit Gundam’s Universal Century. If you’re worried about the number of mobile suits available in the game, don’t be. Currently, there are over 300 different versions that include Gundams, Zakus, and other GMs that will be available to point. There’s plenty for everyone, so don’t worry about that.

Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 isn’t as fast-paced as most recent Gundam titles, such as Gundam Breaker or Gundam Versus. Instead, players will have to play more tactical as any mistake is an easy way for someone to score some free damage on you.

Greetings Pilots!

We're announcing that Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 will soon launch on Steam!

Be ready to experience the excitement directly on your PC!

We will also be hosting network tests before the official launch, learn more below!https://t.co/YEbm89zZcp pic.twitter.com/ROAwIi3jnM

Still, it’s nice to see this game finally make its way over to the PC. According to the official Twitter account, there will be several network tests before the game officially launches in North America. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready – Universal Century or not.

Here’s when the Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 network tests will take place;

Sadly, there is some sad news to report; cross-play won’t make it in. According to the Steam page, there won’t be able cross-play once it makes it o the PC. It doesn’t look like cross-save, or cross-progression is in either. So if you’re someone who’s played the hell out of Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 on the PS4 and PS5 but want to jump to the PC version, you’ll have to put that time in all over.
