Updated: 6.29.2022 – Inti Creates has announced that Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is now headed to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Now that the 2022 New Game Plus Expo is underway, INTI CREATES has revealed that Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 will be released on July 28, 2022. The title has been announced as a Nintendo Switch Exclusive title.
You may recall that the title was revealed during the 2020 Bitsummit Gaiden and was initially slated to be released in 2021. However, due to COVID-19 imposing several hindrances for Inti Creates, it was delayed on March 4, 2021, with no ETA on a release date.
A new gameplay trailer that features the new character who’ll debut in Azure Striker 3, Kirin, was also released along with the release date news.
As for now, INTI CREATES has not mentioned that Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 will appear on other platforms. Given the success of the previous titles on the PC, I’m confident we’ll see the title on those platforms. Though, it may not be until 2023 at the earliest.
When Azure Striker Gunvolt was initially released on September 26, 2016, for the Nintendo 3DS. It didn’t appear on the PC until June 22, 2020. That was nearly a four-year wait — hopefully, it doesn’t take the third outing to take as long.
