Welcome to Elk arrives on Nintendo Switch on Feb 10

By Karl SmartJanuary 27, 2022
Welcome to Elk

Danish–based indie game development studio Triple Topping announced today that its 2021 Independent Games Festival Awards nominee Welcome to Elk is launching globally on Nintendo Switch on February 10, 2022, for USD $14.99. Pre–orders on Nintendo Switch starting today, January 27, and all purchases made from today until February 17 will receive a 20% discount on the Nintendo eShop. The game will also be launching on Linux via Steam on February 10 and will be discounted by 20% from January 27 until February 17. Welcome to Elk originally released on PC in September 2020.

Welcome to Elk is a biographical adventure set on an island like no other, where every character you encounter has a story to tell. From the weird and wonderful to the dark and desperate, all the tales told on Elk are based on true stories of life on the road less traveled.

You play as Frigg, a young carpenter traveling to Elk for an apprenticeship. She is used to an outgoing and hectic lifestyle in the city. How will she handle the isolated life on Elk with only a few young people around her and no internet? On Elk, Frigg and you will meet the weird and wonderful characters – people whom the world has either ignored or forgotten. Follow their ups and downs, their odd drinking rituals, and their unique ways of tackling whatever life throws at them. Here it’s known that humor, love, and death go hand in hand. Life may seem hard sometimes, but it is always followed by laughter.

Welcome to Elk
