After wondering when LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga would see the light of day, WB Games has finally announced the release date, April 5th, 2022. Originally the title was scheduled for a 2021 release date, prior to being delayed. The game was announced during the 2019 E3 event.

The long-awaited title will span across all nine of Star Wars Skywalker Saga. And according to Traveller’s Tales, this is the company’s biggest LEGO game to date. And judging from the gameplay overview, it looks like it.

Players will be able to start in whichever part of the saga they wish to and complete them in whichever order they want. The gameplay will consist of lightsaber battles, force moves, blasters, space battles, and more. Levels will also include multiple paths, which should add to the exploration. Each section will also have five story missions to play, meaning the game will have 45 levels to play through. Players can also unlock and choose from over 300 characters, the most ever in a LEGO Star Wars game.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
