Full Trailer For James Gunn’s Peacemaker HBO Max Series Debuts

By Todd BlackDecember 3, 2021
Peacemaker, HBO Max

DC Comics has not been afraid to do atypical superhero shows over the last several years. Swamp Thing, Titans, the Harley Quinn animated series, and of course, Doom Patrol. All of them were unique and dark and downright profane at times, but it worked because that was the tone they were going for. And next year, they’re going to do it again on HBO Max via Peacemaker.

The spinoff/sequel to The Suicide Squad via one of their most-talked about characters played by John Cena, Peacemaker will focus on what happens to the titular character after the movie. In this case, he gets drafted to work for yet another “task force” to take out enemies known as “Butterflies” who pose a “serious threat” to the US.

But as the new full trailer for the series shows, Peacemaker may have been all about, “Getting peace no matter the cost”, but now he’s asking questions about whether he can do that anymore. The trailer below showcases just how insane things are going to get, so strap in, this will be a wild ride.
