New Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 info released

By Keith MitchellSeptember 15, 2021
Gunvolt Chronicles Luminous Avenger iX 2 reveal

During Bitsummit 2021, Inti Creates announced that they were working on Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2. Since then, we’ve learned quite a bit more about the upcoming title. So let’s jump into it, shall we?

Following the events of Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX, the world has earned its peace, with Copen deciding to focus his efforts on research now that the fighting was over. However, before he gave up fighting, he came into possession of a “rifle-shaped piece of tech called the Blaster Rifle.” Sometime after, Copen started to attempt to study and repair this device. During his efforts, a wormhole mysteriously opened up and drew him, along with Lola and Kohaku, into it. This wormhole transported Copen to a new desert-like world, where its open beings were mechanical ones called “Workers.” Trapped and lost, the team needs to find a way back to their world.

Attempting to get back to their world, Copen, Lola, and Kohaku encounter a friendly worker girl called Null.  Null joins up with the team and tells them how they can get back home. The only way back to their own world is by traveling to a tower called the “Grave Pillar.” Of course, it’s not as simple as it seems, as the tower is protected by several workers called “Grave Workers,” who are tasked to stop anyone who attempts to access the tower.

This sure does sound like a Mega Man/Mega Man X, more so than the first game, that’s for sure. As you can see by the screenshot, there are 6 Grave Workers and potential others that Init Creates isn’t ready to show off yet.

This won’t stop Copen, who’s used to battle, and he’s sporting a few new abilities to even up the odds; Break-Shift and Built-Shift. Break-Suit is a new armor that allows Copen to draw out the full potential of his offensive capabilities. While Built-Shift focuses on speed while decreasing Copen’s defensive power. Players will have to utilize both forms to survive this new, deadly world.

So there you go, more information on the upcoming Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 from Inti Creates. Oh wait, we almost forgot. There’s a special music video called ” Command Prompt” that was also released. This video features the voice actress of Lola, Ms. Mayu Mineda, which keeps the theme from Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX, as Lola aspires to become a pop star, the “Muse of Hope.”

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 is heading to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) on January 27th, 2022.

Stay tuned to The Outerhaven for me info on Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX.
