Power Rangers Open World Arkham-Like Pitch Revealed

By Ryan EasbyAugust 9, 2021

It has been revealed that one stage an open world Power Rangers game that was directly comparable to the upcoming Arkham spin-off Gotham Knights was pitched.

The former director of global consumer products at Saban Brands, Jason Bischoff, took to Twitter to reveal what was at one stage named ‘Project Nomad’. He also showed off a series of concept art pieces related to the game.

According to Bischoff, the game would capture “the energy, teamwork, and history of the franchise through a fresh lens.” Bischoff also stated, in his own words, that the game would have basically been “Arkham Rangers, or Gotham Knights 5 years before GK’s announcement.”

According to Bischoff, the pitch ran into several problems while it was still a possibility.

“Sadly, with so much circulating through the studio at the time, there was no bandwidth or budget to support…While early talks with Devs/Publishers were favourable, ultimately time and big shifts in our business saw conversations around Project Nomad peter out.”

From the concept art, Bischoff shared, the game looks incredibly cool and it’s a shame that the project never saw the light of day.
