Netflix Teases The Second Season Of ‘The Witcher’

By Keith MitchellJune 3, 2021
The Witcher

How soon is soon?

While Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’  has been extremely successful, the second season is what is on everyone’s minds. When is it going to be released, is a question I’ve seen asked over and over.  And while we still don’t know what’s going on, Netflix did drop a tease today with the message “Coming Soon”.

It would seem that the second season has been cursed. Between COVID-19 and several accidents, it’s been delayed, which is why we haven’t seen it yet. But if this recent tweet gives us hope that we’ll see Geralt of Rivia and crew fairly soon.

As for what we can expect, my money is on Geralt and the training of Ciri. If you recall, both were searching for each other throughout the first season and only managed to find each other at the very end.  Mostly because this is what happens in The Witcher books, and the game as well – which is based on the books.

Chances are we’ll find out more about The Witcher season two during Netflix’s Geeked Week, which takes place from June 7th – June 11th. During this event, Netflix will make several announcements on upcoming geek culture projects. Such as the upcoming animated series ‘Master of the Universe Revelation,’ “War For Cybertron: Kingdom’, and ‘The Cuphead Show!’.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, as Netflix already shared with us several projects that we’ll be shown. But we’re keeping that on the hush so that you can be surprised next week.  Or you can watch the teaser below.
